Congratulations to the 2016-2017 AAS Officers

As outgoing President, I just want to say thank you one more time to the AAS leadership and members who entrusted me to lead such a forward thinking and productive society.  The AAS is in such a terrific and exciting place and it was an honor to be President during the 2015-2016 year.

Justin B. Dimick, M.D., M.P.H. is the George D. Zuidema Professor of Surgery, Chief of the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Director of the Center for Healthcare Outcomes & Policy at the University of Michigan. His clinical practice is devoted to advanced laparoscopy, including treatment of obesity, hernias, and other benign and neoplastic diseases of the foregut. His research program, currently funded by AHRQ and NIH, focuses on quality measurement, policy evaluation, and large-scale, innovative approaches to quality improvement.
