Acute Care Surgery, Trauma, & Surgical Critical Care
The Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking an exceptional Acute Care Surgeon to join the faculty of a dynamic and growing Division of Acute Care and Regional General Surgery.
Our division provides emergency general surgery, trauma and burn services at UWHealth, and elective general surgery services to UW affiliated hospitals in the Madison area.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to join a well-established group of general surgeons and expand the practice. The Acute Care Surgeon will be based primarily at University Hospital, an American College of Surgeons designated Level I Trauma Center and American Burn Association verified Burn Center. University Hospital providers and staff treat more than 3,000 trauma patients each year.
The selected candidate will participate in one or more services within the Division, including Trauma, Burn and Wound, Emergency General Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care. The successful candidate will be a highly qualified acute care surgeon committed to delivering high-quality patient care. In addition, competitive candidates will be motivated to develop a scholarly clinical, translational, or basic science research program.
