For 2025, the AAS Officer Positions of President-Elect, Recorder and Treasurer are open for self-nominations.

Past performance in AAS leadership roles and the body of contributions will be considered by the Nominating Committee in determining those selected for the ballot.
Per the AAS Constitution, anyone interested in serving in officer roles should have served on the Executive Council for at least one year previously. Exceptions to this rule can be considered by the Nominating Committee when necessary.
The President-Elect shall be elected for a one-year term and assume the office of the President in the subsequent year.
The Recorder shall be elected for a two-year term.
The Treasurer shall be elected for a three-year term.
Statements of interest for Officer positions are limited to one-half page or less.
Voting for the Officer positions will take place electronically on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. You must be registered as an Active AAS Member and to attend 2025 ASC to vote. Voting results will be announced at the AAS Business Meeting at the Academic Surgical Congress.
