Clinical and Health Services Research Committee Self Nomination for Neha Malik

I am a general surgery resident at the University of Texas Houston and am currently pursuing a 2 year research fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. I am very passionate about academic surgery and after attending the AAS Fall Course last year, I would love to be involved in helping expand this opportunity to other residents. I think that academic medicine is not something that all surgery residents are exposed to and I would like to ensure that every surgery resident is exposed to programs like this and has the opportunity to submit abstracts to ASC.
