I have been a member of several committees(Membership, Publications) within the Association of Academic Surgery and would love to continue to be involved.  The Leadership committee is of specific interest for me.   While I ascended to a leadership role at the University of Pennsylvania, I never had any leadership course or training and I have personally have had to learn on my own, which is not ideal.  This makes me passionate about this topic and I would  love to dedicate time to help others with some of the experiences I have learned.
