I am currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Miami and APD for the fellowship in endocrine surgery. I had similar roles at the University of Tennessee Medical Center where I served on the surgical education committee for the residency program and as course director for grand rounds. In these roles, I initiated education, research, and mentorship activities to promote our students and trainees. The AAS committee position offers the chance to make a positive impact within an organization dedicated to the advancement of surgeons at all stages of their career, particularly for our trainees.
